It is bounded by important streets and avenues such as Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, Carrer d'Aragó and Avinguda Meridiana. The Clot is one of the oldest nuclei of Sant Martí, in medieval times it was known as Clotum Melis. At the beginning of the twentieth century the neighborhood increased its population with an industrial and working class.
