Built in 1973 and renovated in 2009, this fantastic property offers everything that you would look for in an idyllic place like Formentera.
Designed by the architect Paolo Rizzatto, it was conceived as a building that would apply structural philosophy with particular attention to the Mediterranean problems that were present at that time on the island, namely the absence of water and electricity as well as the high summer temperatures.
To find a solution, it was necessary to ask for building permits in an area of pine trees, protected from the sun and from the cold weather.
The decision was to design and invest in a holiday house without spending too much money.
This house for sale has traditional structure with its open stone walls. Natural wood was used for the doors and the windows. Both stone and wood are two very noble materials that serve to bring nature to the house.
In 2009, following Matteo Fantoni’s project, the roof was restructured as was the inside of the property and two new bedrooms were installed on the ground floor as well as two bathrooms.
It has a floor area of 300 m2 and lies on a 2000 m2 plot that has a swimming pool. There is a large living dining room with very high wood ceilings, a separate kitchen and there are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in total.
